Fairmont Golden Prague

Set on the banks of the Vltava River, the newly renovated Fairmont Golden Prague is a striking celebration of Brutalist architecture, mid-century influences, and contemporary elegance. We had the honour of contributing to this landmark transformation by crafting over 1,200 bespoke lighting pieces.

Set on the banks of the Vltava River, the newly renovated Fairmont Golden Prague is a striking celebration of Brutalist architecture, mid-century influences, and contemporary elegance. Sans Souci had the honour of contributing to this landmark transformation by crafting over 1,200 bespoke lighting pieces, seamlessly woven into the fabric of the hotel’s design.

From luxurious suites to panoramic bars and intimate guest rooms, each piece was tailored to harmonise with the building’s bold geometry, evoking both heritage and innovation through material, form, and light.

A Brutalist Nod in Vibrant Orange

Throughout the hotel’s public and private spaces, lighting serves as a vibrant counterpoint to its sculptural Brutalist core. Each of our sleek lamps plays differently with vibrant orange, paying tribute to mid-century Czech lighting design. Their warm hues cast a soft glow that contrasts beautifully with the sharp, sculptural lines of the hotel’s architecture.

Similarly, our custom bedside table lamps combine orange-tinted glass with sandblasted detailing, carefully layered to create a unique lighting effect when illuminated. The clever construction allows the individual elements to connect seamlessly, glowing from within and casting a warm, inviting hue.

Golden Eye Bar

Crowning the hotel, the Golden Eye Bar offers panoramic city views, Southeast Asian flavours, and an unmistakable 1970s flair. To capture its glamorous, cosmopolitan energy, we designed a bespoke crystal pendant featuring handcrafted glass and warm gold details. The pendant’s soft curves and textured surface interact beautifully with light, offering a modern interpretation of retro luxury.

Crystal Room Bar & Lobby

In the Crystal Room Bar, a 2-metre-long pendant commands attention. Made from ribbed crystal glass with a glowing opal tube core and dark satin bronze details, it blends clean lines with subtle texture, forming a striking centrepiece above the bar.
This visual language extends into the Lobby, where matching table lamps echo the same materials and proportions. Together, they establish a cohesive lighting story that connects spaces with quiet elegance and intention.

Sconces Across the Suites & Corridors

For the Presidential Apartment, we designed custom wall sconces for both bedroom and bathroom areas. Crafted from sandblasted crystal glass and black metal accents, the sconces lend the space a quiet elegance. Their gentle, ambient light enhances the refined materials and modern aesthetic, creating a calm, elevated atmosphere for the most prestigious guests.

In the suites, wall sconces feature warm-tinted glass with a ripple effect, casting light that soothes and softens. In contrast, the corridors are lined with black-tinted glass sconces and robust metal elements – bolder, more architectural forms that echo the geometry of the building while guiding guests with purpose.

Several distinct moods. One cohesive story, told through light.
