From the very heart of the lobby, where every guest’s journey begins, Sans Souci was entrusted with creating a bespoke lighting installation that would capture the spirit of this enchanting narrative.

Nestled in Vannes, in the west of France, Domaine du Liziec is part of the prestigious MGallery collection by Accor. Rooted in the poetic legends of the Gulf of Morbihan, the concept design called for a striking centrepiece that would embody the region’s mythical heritage while elevating the contemporary elegance of the newly reimagined interiors.
From the very heart of the lobby, where every guest’s journey begins, Sans Souci was entrusted with creating a bespoke lighting installation that would capture the spirit of this enchanting narrative.

The interiors were created by architect and designer Nadège El Amine, whose vision drew inspiration from the legendary tale of the fairies of Brocéliande. According to the myth, their tears formed the Gulf of Morbihan, while their flower crowns became its 365 islands.
Sans Souci’s designer, Veronika Vančurová, translated this story into light. The installation integrates seamlessly with the vertical architecture of the lobby, spanning multiple levels and visible from every vantage point. Rather than existing as a decorative addition, the lighting becomes an architectural gesture, descending through the space, where guests can walk around the installation, experiencing its form from both floors.

The bespoke “raining chandelier” unfolds like a cascade of water pearls. Hand-blown glass elements in crystal clear, sandblasted soda effect, and soft light amber finishes shimmer as they descend from the ceiling towards the reception desks below.
